Biography

• Newsha Tavakolian was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran.
• She's a photojournalist and documentary photographer that has worked for Time Magazine, The New York Times, Le Figaro and National Geographic.
• She started with the photography when she was sixteen.

• This is the photo I have chosen.
• In this photo, I can see a young girl sat in an armchair with a birthday cake in front of her.
• Next to the cake, on the table, there's a knife to cut the cake.
• She's in a flat and she looks sad, maybe because anyone hasn't come to her party.
• This photo represents the life of a lot of teenagers. Teenagers only accept those who are like everyone, they don't accept those who have different interests than them.

High angle: this is a cute photo of a little girl swinging in a swing. She look smaller than she is because the photo is done from above.

 

Low angle: it's a photo of the Eiffel Tower, but it's done from below so it seems taller.

 

Slanted angle: this photo has a medium shot but its angle is crooked. Is a terrifying photo because of the black and withe filter and the slanted angle.

Eye level shot: in this photo we can see Will of the serie "Stranger Things" crying. We only see his face.

 

Aerial shot: this photo is from Santorini, a beautiful island of Greek. You can see a big part of the island in the evening from the sky.

 

Close up shot: this is a photo of a very cute dog. We can only see his nose and his eyes at the background because of the close up shot. 

 

Long shot: this photo is from the Egyptian Pyramids with a man in a camel. It's a calid photo that shows a beautiful landscape.

 

Medium shot: this is a strange photo because we can see a lion, that is a big and dangerous animal, with a little goat, that is a small and innocent farm animal. The photo is tooked from a normal distance.

 

Wide shot: it's a photo of a girl playing golf in a golf course. We see the girl and all the couse. This photo is tooked in such a way that the course seems bigger.

 

Two shot: in this photo we can see Augustus and Hazel of the film "The Fault in our Stars" talking. It shows the two people with the same importance.

 

Point of view: the last photo it's very powerful. It shows what a parkour boy see. He is hanging from a very high place and we can see his feet and the floor.

MY WORLD 6: MY FUTURE TRIPS

One of the best things in the world is discover and visit other countries and cultures. Travels are the best way to learn languages, cultures, geography and forget aboput your life for a days. The only inconvenient is that is very expensive.

In 15 years I have only been in Europe, I've been in different places in Spain, in Italy two times, in France, in Belgium and in Netherlands. But in the rest of my life I want to visit all the continents. In my opinion, Asia is the continent that everyone shouldn't miss. In Asia, I wanna go to Thailand, China and to India when I am prepared. In Africa, I want to visit some countries too. I want to go to Morocco since I was little, and I've always thought that it's a good idea visit a very poor country to help their people. Oceania it's a little continent but it has a lot to discover, so I want to go to Australia or some island too. In North America I want to do a long trip visiting all USA, and other trip visiting Cuba, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, etc, in Central America. In South America I wanna go to Brasil, Colombia and Argentina. I've only seen a little part of Europe, so I want to see more, like Greek, Norway, Russia...
In conclusion, writting this "my world" I've seen that the world is too big to visit all, and I don't have enough money to go everywhere. But these are some of the countries I want to go in a future.

1. She starts directly, explaining the story of her son. But the first sentence she says talks about the last time that she heard the voice of her son, when he left home to go to school. It's very emotive. (0:20)
2. She talks about what was her son thinking of his life and how he self-half. At first, it seems that she didn't do anything to avoid it, but then, she says that she discovered this after his death. (4:00)

1. Maybe when you think that you know everything about your son or daughter is when you know less. Teenagers can make you think something completely different about them.
2. We don't have to judge people for something they hadn't done. If someone do something terrible, like kill people, it doesn't mean that the fault is for his parents. Surely, his parents had reared their children in the best way they can.

MY WORLD 4

MY WORLD: MY CARNIVAL 2019

From my point of view, carnival is the best day of the year. Since I was little, I enjoyed carnival a lot; I love wear costumes, dance and go partying with my friends. This carnival has absolutely been the best carnival of my life, the bad point of this year is that it has been later than other years, so it has been during exams.

The first weekend, I went in Roses and in Sant Pere Pescador, my village. On Friday, I went in Roses with my best friends. It was fastastic because in that town carnival is the most important festivity of the year, and everybody wear incredible costumes and go with enormous floats. There were a lot of people and very good environment compared to other years, I didn't see any fight. Next day, in Sant Pere, there weren't so much people, there are always only people of the town and villages around. It started at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and we didn't stop until 6 o'clock in the next morning.

Next weekend, I went with few friends in Empuriabrava on Friday. It was good, but not so good than the last week. I saw a lot of friends from school and I spent a funny night with them. On Saturday, I went with the whole group in Castelló d'Empúries. There were a lot of people and floats, I saw friends from school, from my village, from my team, friends that I haven't seen for years... 

In my opinion, the best carnival was the last one, the one of Castelló. I didn't go with a float and in some occasions I had cold because of the short skirt of my Eskimo costume, but I spent the best weekends of my life.

MY WORLD 5

MY WORLD 5: THE FEMINISM

The feminism is a movement that its finally is achive the equality between men and women in the spheres of politics, economy and legal. A lot of people think that the feminism is the opposite of the machismo, but the machismo is the attitude of an exaggerated sense of manliness, and the feminism only look for the equality.

In these last years, this idea is being very supported, but not enough. In all history, women have only been cooking, cleaning the house and looking after children. And men have been studying and working. When the man arrived home, she had to had the dinner preparated and served he in the best way that could be. Fortunately, this changed a lot. Now everybody can study, have a job...

Nonetheless, there are a lot of things that we don't see and they have to change immediatly. For example, in some jobs a woman earn less money that a man in the same position. Every 50 murdered women there are 4 murdered men in Spain. Also, there are some situations that we don't realize, but they are sexist situations. When we think of jobs, we think of a male doctor but a female nurse, and we never think of a cleaning man, it's always a woman.

We are all people, so we should have the same rights. Everybody should think of how is de world going and support feminism because there are a lot of things to change yet and they won't change alone.

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION - 2019

1. Be punctual always: to keep this resolution I have to organize the time and leave home soon. I haven't to get distracted with everything.
2. Get my secundary school studies: It's not very difficult but I have to study and make an efford until the school year finish.
3. Be fit: I do volleyball three times a week but I have to have a routine of exercices to do every day. I can start slowly and go up day by day. There are some apps that I can download in my smartphone.
4. Save money: I use to spend a lot of money with things I don't really need, and I had always wanted to save money but I don't know how to do it. I have to hide some of my money and if I want that money I have to wait.
5. Take advantage of the summer: In summer I use to sleep all the morning and I use to watch series or films all night when I don't go partying with my friends. I won't have 16 years old yet, so I won't have a job yet.  I want to enjoy this summer a lot going to the beach, going partying, doing trips with my friends...
